IMPORTANT VISA INFORMATION
FOR ALL DELEGATES
The Ethiopian Government recently enacted a new visa procedure for all visitors from countries whose citizens require visa to travel to Ethiopia. This procedure only excludes passport holders from Kenya and Djibouti, and holders of Diplomatic Service, AU, UN, and AfDB passports.

Besides an Invitation Letter that you will receive, all delegates will need the visa approval form issued by the Ethiopian Immigration and Nationality Agency  (EINA) from Addis Ababa. In order to get the visa approval by the agency (EINA), scan and send to us the following documentation to help us quickly facilitate this process.  All visa correspondences will now be handled directly from Addis Ababa, by Ms. Bedilish Gebremedhin <Bedilish@aaae-africa.org

1) Biodata page of your valid passport
2) A copy of your residence permit, if your nationality is different from your country of residence.
  • If your residence country does not have Ethiopian Embassy, a request letter to immigration will be prepared on your behalf so you can get visa on arrival (see to your right the countries whose citizens can get visa on arrival). Remember, you must still comply with point number 1.
  • For the purpose of immigration form send us your country of residence and nationality (if different) when sending the a copy of your passport or residence permit.
